Charles Wallace

My research interests integrate igneous petrology, analytical chemistry, modelling and interpreting geophysical datasets to better understand pre-eruptive processes during periods of unrest or eruption. My current PhD research aims to use diffusion chronometry to link magmatic timescales recorded in crystals to those provided by geophysical monitoring of volcanoes for the recent Reykjanes Peninsula activity, Iceland.

Charles is one of the current group of conveners of the Cambridge Volcanology Group.
